Rock Band
Guitar Hero's big brother is heading our way....
Guitar Hero’s big brother, Rock Band, has been available in the U.S since November 20th, 2007. If you’re like me, impatient and have an Ebay account you could have picked this beauty up for around £110. Which is cheap, if the rumours going around are true; that its going to cost £150+ of your hard earned money.
Rock Band, like its predecessor, continues the use of playing arcade style instruments to certain bars, beats and notes. It allows players to perform in virtual bands by allowing up to four players with the ability to play three
different peripherals modeled after musical instruments (lead guitar, bass guitar, drum kit and microphone).
People who do not have friends over don’t panic! Rock Band allows you to play online, either with or against people from around the globe. This consists of ’Band Quickplay’, ’Band World Tour’ (offline only), ’Tug Of War’ & ’Score Duel’. If you are not lucky enough to be blessed with broadband there is always ’Quickplay’ and ’Solo Tour’ for the single player mode.
In addition to the songs shipped on the game disc, hundreds of new tracks will be made available as downloadable content for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions; the Wii version will not initially support downloadable content however.
